Figures on Lines

Narratives, imaginations and memory find expression in this exhibition in a multimedia space installation.
“Straight, like lines, they stand. They have long, straight hair and their clothes shine red (…),” said the aunt to a child.

These simple words managed to escape their ephemerality and survived the time.
They created inner images and gave early reason to deal with them pictorially.
This confrontation finds its revision here by being abstracted, repeated, transferred, broken, deformed, displaced and decomposed.

Like the figures in the painting “The Fall of the Damned” by Ruben, this ideal female figure, here falls into the water instead of into the fire.
